Confidence & self-doubt

We all go through times when our confidence takes a knock or we feel that we’re not good enough to achieve more than we already have. It can seem that confidence is something that everyone else has and that they’re living exciting lives full of opportunity. Opportunities either don’t seem to come your way or you worry about taking them when they do.

Low confidence and self-doubt frequently lead people to avoid things that are challenging or new to them. This keeps people in a “safe” zone AKA their “comfort zone”. However, whilst this may provide short-term benefit as a coping mechanism, in the long-term, it does nothing to stimulate opportunities for growth and therefore holds people back from advancement and making the choices that would move them towards their ideal goals.
